Now we are most definitely in the Digital Imaging age are our images as good as the old days of film? Without doubt digital has made life a lot easier 'we probably all now take many more images then ever before, it's easy, it's cheaper and much more cost effective however do we all print these images or do we leave them stuck on a hard drive or cd/dvd and never look at them again And what about processing, in the old days, blacking out the temp dark room, the smell of the chemicals and the anticipation of seeing the image appearing on the paper as it's developed was something else - is it the same using Photoshop, Gimp or something similar?
Personally I would say yes it's as good and without doubt much easier and cheaper, true some of the imaging programs are somewhat involved and some are very expensive but does the normal photographer need the likes of Photoshop? without doubt no.
Do you find this valuable?
