Digital does it for me

Out with the old and in with the future - Digital is here to stay regards to photoshop with the Glamour and portrait work I undertake Photoshop is top of the list for editing software, for some less enthusiastic maybe the cut down elements. Can't imagine having to stand there in the dark room masking to dodge and burn when the same net result can be achieved and more importantly repeated time again with precision in the comfort of a chair and PS. And what about toning a mono remember the smell of sepia chemicals I know which I would prefer.............. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Interesting thoughts and yes your quite right that Photoshop does make it far easier than the old ways and definetly faster but still not sure that there is the same excitement of working in the darkroom, yes the smells of the developer and fixer were not always pleasant but you did get used to them. However the magic of seeing the image first appear in the tray of developer was still special no matter how many times you did it, yes burning and dodging was time consuming with sometimes pretty mixed results but experience made the processes better and easier. Personally I haven't gone into a darkroom in ages, I now like you sit at a computer using PS so maybe I'm looking back with rose tinted spectacles that belay my age, possibly not though................ Do you find this valuable?
